NWEA MAP Testing

Does anyone use NWEA MAP testing and is there an easy way to download the MAP roster file needed to upload into the NWEA site?

  • @Daniel Lazor Yes, we use it. However, we no longer use the lists to do the import/export. We have integrated with Clever. Clever has a built-in NWEA MAP testing integration that takes the proper fields from Blackbaud and uploads it to the MAP testing site each night. It is zero work on our side once the integration is setup.

This is great info - thank you for your reply!

    Hi Daniel,

I was able to build an advanced list that gave me everything that I needed for the MAP roster. I just run the report and then cut and paste it into the MAP template. Support was able to help with the list so I'm sure that they can help! Good luck!

  • @Daniel Lazor - we use an Advanced List that pulls the student records that we need. We built in some “placeholder” fields into the output so that the columns in the export match the fields for the NWEA export. I built it starting with the Course Group table - including Enrollments, Teachers and Student tables.
We built it in 2015 and still use the same file.

  • @Daniel Lazor I'll echo Chris in that we also integrated with Clever some years back. Clever is free, and the connection is easy to setup. Once data from Blackbaud is automatically showing up in Clever, then there are many software integrations that can automatically get their data directly from Clever. NWEA is one of them, and not having to worry about rostering any students every year has been great.
