Line Items on Batch Validation, Batch Detail and Post Reports are Summarizing.

Hello. I'm wondering if there's a way to change the setting so the Journal Entry reports do not summarize line items. When we create journal entries, we sometimes separate out dollar amounts to a specific account to present on different line items. Doing it this way can be helpful for tracking purposes when the support lists items individually. I'm not sure when it started doing it, but recently (within the last few months) we noticed that Financial Edge is summarizing these line items that go to the same account. Because this is not the presentation we want, we'd like to be able to turn that back off. Does anyone know where in settings to change this?

    This is just a guess, but it could be the account you are posting to is a Control account. That's a setting on the account code itself but it can be overridden in some reports using the “Show details for control accounts” check box.

    You can check to see if the accounts that are summarizing are Control accounts by accessing General ledger > Settings > Account codes and search the list of your account codes - you should see a check mark in the Control column if the code is set as such.

    You can absolutely change the account code, if you ALWAYS want to see the detail and never want to roll it up to a summarized line. You should be able to change it back if you try always showing detail and your reports become too lengthy. That's where the option on the reports came from - some organizations want the detail like you do, and others do not.

    Not sure that will help - but hopefully it does!

    I can't get to this screen within NXT. I was able to update my validation reports in Database View. When I go to Reporting and click the + Add button to add a report, Batch Validations are not on the list of available reports to create.
