Source data

In the query tab, can you find out what contacts have been added via social media? For example, have they been added to the database via social media or a manual add.

Thank you so much!

@Jessica Thomas A little more explanation here because I am only aware of constituents being added manually, not automatically.

  • @Joe Moretti That's what I thought. I asked a work colleague, and they said they were manually adding supporters that came via social media but giving them an attribute to identify where they came from, i.e. Facebook or Instagram.

@Jessica Thomas That is a little clearer now. So they want to have an attribute of Source Code with a drop-down box of the various ways the person was added to the database (Instagram, Facebook, etc) so they can keep track of how constituents are being added to the system.

  • @Joe Moretti Exactly! Do you think that will look messy on the database?

@Jessica Thomas Not at all. We have a source code (donation, event, honor/memorial, DAVF, Prospect, etc). But we do not really use the information that much. It is good to use if you are going to do something with it.
