To Log off or NOT to Log Off

Has anyone else experienced the following?

You're working diligently in Blackbaud Education Management (BEM). You're deep into some research or something [i.e. very active] and you get suddenly kicked out/logged off.

This happens to me quite often and it's very disruptive. All I can think of is that one of my other browser tabs that is logged into BEM gets stale and so the system kicks me out of all the tabs.

I might live with this, but here's the kicker: I just waltzed into my office on a Monday morning and a BEM session/tab is still active and logged in after 3 days of total inaction.

Has anyone figured out why both of these happen and how to effect the latter situation? i.e. stay logged in? [there's no security risk there because my PC is locked].

    Both happen to me on a regular basis. I was told I get logged out because I also have RE open and am not active in it at the time. Seems like you get kicked out only if you have two sessions open and are active in only one of them but if you only have one open and aren't active, you don't get kicked out.

    @john ronan I can confirm I have had the same happen to me; I can also add that I have had multiple sessions of BEM open when it has happened I do not think the same happens with BEM and RE open. unfortunately I have no other insight I have always able to just refresh the page and continue my work.

    @john ronan Afraid I have no suggestions on how to prevent but can confirm that this has happened to me as well and it's very frustrating! I often get kicked out of Tuition Management while actively working, more so than in BEM, but have experienced it there as well. I have not been able to establish a consistent pattern as to when this happens.

    I have also experienced having multiple BEM tabs open along with RE and/or Tuition Management and even though they are all logged into using BBID, I can log out of RE and it will log me out of Tuition Mgmt (as it should) and then may log me out of one of my BEM tabs but not the other OR sometimes won't log me out of any BEM tabs?? The lack of consistency is the frustrating part so would also appreciate any insight anyone has.
