Permissions needed on a user account to interact with Gift and Fundraising API

Hello there,

I have a question regarding which permissions would need to be set on a user account to interact with both the Gift and Fundraising APIs.

The user that is authenticated with Blackbaud would need to have the ability to do the following:

  • Create one time and recurring Gifts through the Gift API
  • Get list of funds from the Fundraising API
  • Get list of custom field categories from the Gift API
  • Create a custom field category through the Gift API

I know of the endpoints required to do the above, I am asking moreso about what permissions need to be set on a Blackbaud user account in order to have the proper access to perform the above.

Any and all help is much appreciated.

    I can really only speak for the endpoints and we follow whatever the application security settings are for the user to do them manually in the UI. Support might be able to answer this if we phrase it that way, “What permissions in NXT are required to do ‘X’?”

    @Dylan Hochreiter Hi! I know this post was a while ago, but it's the exact question I have. Did you get an answer from support? I have an intern who was hired to help us get some of these automations set up, but I'm protective of our donor info and want them to have the access they need without being able to accidentally delete or change any info.
