Balance Alerts if not enough funds are available

Is there a way to receive an alert when entering an invoice for payment or entering a JE if there are not enough funds in the account it is coming from/being paid from?

    @Shannon Biehl, yes you can set budget checking to prevent or warn if a project or account is over budget when entering invoices/payments.

    You can do this in Payables > Settings > Business Rules > General: see Budget Check and you can set specific settings for Accounts, Projects, and Grants.

    You don't have the same option for Journal Entry but you can select that the batches need to be approved before they can be posted so that you can check before it's posted. This is also in General Ledger > Settings > Business Rules > Journal Entry.
