Granting volunteers access to database

I am attempting to grant a volunteer access to the marketing and email tab of our database. We have just finished implementation so there are no security set ups at all.

I have tried to send her an invitation but it hasn't been working.

Does anyone have any tips to get her access?

    @Alex Blackwill Can you be a bit more specific as to what isn't working? Is she not getting the email, etc.?

    @Christine Robertson She has received the email and could accept the invitation but couldn't see any of our Org's info.

    @Christine Robertson Yes, I believe so. She only needs access to one area. This is done in the database, correct?

    @Alex Blackwill There are security settings in both the webview and the database view. I think based on your initial post, the settings that she would need are going to be in webview (under the Roles for Marketing).

    You need to set up a record for her in database view, as well as a User Group for her there. Make sure to mark her db record as a “Solicitor/Fundraiser”. In her database user group, make sure to leave unchecked all the options for Gifts, Reports, Mail, Admin, Config, Code Tables, and Batch, as it sounds like you are wanting to give her limited access, and as a volunteer she doesn't need to see gift info.

    Once you have her set up in db view, then you can set her up in webview security. I suggest that you may want to give her access to Query in db view as well as Lists (under Fundraising Roles) in webview, if she is also going to be managing or accessing the Lists of constituents receiving her emails. You will need to link her webview user profile to her db user name.
