Bank reconciliation GL Cash out of balance to statement by negative amount

I had voided one deposit (2213) of $202,890.80 in A/R database and recorded correct deposit entry 2241 for the correct amount. However, at the end of month bank reconciliation is showing GL cash account out of balance to statement by the above amount in negative. I reconcile bank statement and Cash General ledger repot. Cash General ledger report is showing higher by the same amount in Debit side. Would you please help me to understand how to fix it? Thank you Paridhi

for the voiced deposit : 1. Was it posted before being voided. 2. If it was posted, is the reversal posted to the GL. 3. If it is posted, what is the post date of the reversal ? Is that in a different period than the original posting and your bank rec? Those would be the first things I'd look for in this situation as the reversal should send a credit to the cash for the amount that was voided.

There is an ongoing issue that some others have experienced where a voided check is showing in GL reports as twice the amount it should be. Its discussed in this community thread. If you are using a GL detail report, try running the report to include project detail and/or for a period starting before the month you are trying to reconcile. While these may fix the report, it doesnt fix the issue. If it does fix the report, you should open a case with support so that they cotinue to address the issue.
