Contract Deposit Payments - International Families

We have International Families who do not have US bank accounts and every year they experience issues submitting their contract payment online. I would love to hear if anyone else experiences this same issue with their International families and do you have a workaround or solution?

  • @ChristinaMarie Rawlins Hi Christina, we have the same issue of International families so we setup that contract to offer “InSchool Payment” and provide instructions on how to wire funds to our bank. Once we receive the funds, we add the deposit (edit pencil) which then pushes the contract into our queue for processing (if all parties have signed). Works very well for this group. We've also used it for those families that may be using a 529 plan, trust or another family member is paying.

  • @ChristinaMarie Rawlins Since we do have the same issues, our international parents often do a wire transfer. The business office confirms receipt and I mark the deposit payment complete and email the parents to sign and submit the contract. That's our workaround.

The Business Office goes into TM to complete the payment there.

  • @ChristinaMarie Rawlins we set the deposit block to $0 for our international students and add instructions for a wire transfer on the deposit page. Then the Business Office updates the contract with the date and amount received for the deposit when the wire transfer comes through. We've done it this way for a long while and seems to work well. Everyone else uses EFT for their deposit.
