Adding Phone numbers in the correct format

Hi Everyone,

We have a USA website that takes donations from users around the world.
Our database currently validates the phone number I assume to a USA format.

My question is what if we have donors from other countries e.g the UK

What is the correct procedure for formating the phone numbers for overseas users and how would it work with our USA site.

    Ok after some tests and reading other community notes it seems in my case I would need all international phone numbers outside the USA to include the International code i.e. +44

    I just need to confirm

    Is other formating overlooked by the validation, such as spaces, ( ) and -
