Query tasks in FENXT Security (Control Panel/Roles)

I am wondering if anyone with FENXT Admin rights or who works at Blackbaud knows the answer to this? Our security recently migrated from database view to FENXT, and I noticed that in the various roles, Query has 2 permission types: “Access queries (standard)” and “Access queries (supervisor)”. I am wondering what the difference is? With database view security, users either had rights to Query or they didn't (one checkbox).

I haven't been able to locate a Knowledgebase on the topic, and BB Support didn't know the answer. Thank you!

still not 100 percent sure, but my team did some testing on this and we found part of the function, though we're still waiting for full confirmation : When a user is saving the query, and sets it where others can't run or modify it we saw these results : The standard role rights couldn't even see the query in webview. But changing that same user to the query tasks supervisor, that same user could now see the query. Still not 100 percent sure yet but initial testing has shown this difference thus far.

Hi @Donella Robb - Our help documentation should now be updated to clarify this for you.

To grant rights to queries created by the user and any queries marked Others can run or Others can modify, select Access queries (standard).

To grant rights to all queries, additionally select Access queries (supervisor).
