Questions about Blackbaud Data Warehouse Reconcilation Report tab / listbuilder.

Hi everyone,

I have a few questions about the Blackbaud Data Warehouse Reconciliation Report tab and the listbuilder query view report displayed on it.

Our Constituent and Interaction “Record types” are not reconciling. According to that report, they are each off by a few rows each. However, the report doesn't offer any way to see which rows are in the DW and not in transactional. The report pulls from bbdw.[RECONCILIATIONSUMMARY], but doesn't indicate how the counts in that table are populated.

Also, the summary counts in that recon table do not match either the CONSTITUENT or BBDW.DIM_CONSTITUENT tables. Neither do the counts for interactions. They don't match either INTERACTION or BBDW.FACT_INTERACTION. They are off by a lot of records. The counts on the recon report are fewer by a great deal. Why would the recon counts be lower than the actual record counts in the tables themselves?

Anyone have any insight on how these counts are generated, and how I might be able to actually determine why the report counts are off (both on the report itself by just a few rows, but also by a lot when compared to the “record type” in each database it supposedly is counting)?

Hope this makes sense, and thanks in advance!

-Sam

@Sam Giacco Hi Sam - I checked on this here at Blackbaud and our support team suggested that while this is a complex question, if you file a support ticket with this information and some additional details they should be able to find an answer to your questions. Thanks!
