Use without RE / FE Integration

Anyone using FE without the RE integration? I'm finding it more work than necessary? If you're using FE without the RE integration, do you make your own journal entry to enter gifts?

    We do RE/FE integration, but you can always do import the JE into FE, but not sure why you would do that.

    For one thing, RE post into FE actually have a “hidden link" back to the original gift that posted the transaction. It is not “exposed" in RE nor FE database view nor webview. However, since the link is there (this is saved in the database schema for FE), in the future Blackbaud “CAN” code the functionality where you can link from the transaction back to the RE gift to see additional information from the gift that isn't posted into FE. But if you only do import into FE, this link will not be there even if Blackbaud does create this functionality
