Giving Money to Constituents

Can someone tell me how I log money given to a benficiary/constituent from our charity, and then find the amounts given in a report at any time?

    @Carl McCulloch - This sounds more like something finance should be tracking rather than development tracking it in Raiser's Edge. If you want to track awards, I recommend an attribute to tag award winners and/or an action to record the communication surrounding the award.

    I agree with @Austen Brown. You can record awards in an attribute or action (or other jury-rigged areas such as Prospects-Financial information), but you won't be able to pull a “report” on it. At best, you would be able to query the constituents and then calculate totals in excel.

    I think of “money out” as what the donation is “used for”. so Fund.

    Meaning, the gift would be coded to a certain fund that will be indicative as 3rd party to some entity. then you can also use fund relationship to tie the relationship to the one that got the money.
