Using "Sales" for Photography Permits?

Email from my Director of Marketing:

“Hoping to enlist your help to create a payment form for annual photography permits. We are planning to implement an approval and permitting process for photographers who want to use the Gardens for professional shoots. There will be a $150 annual fee, and there will be an add-on fee (per shoot) of $25 for any groups larger than 10 people.”

Any other Altru clients doing something like this? If so, can you walk me through where I should set this up?

  • @Jon Wysong Hi Jon! I just shifted this to the main discussion area to hopefully get more eyes and responses. Thanks!

  • Hi, @Jon Wysong! My initial thought for the annual fee is to set it up as a new membership program. That way you easily see who has paid the fee and they can purchase the “members only” photography session for 10+ people online. It also streamlines the renewal process down the road.

  • For booking groups, you can set up a pre-registered program event and, after they make the initial request for the date/time, you can set it up online (don't connect it to your website since you only want that photographer to book it) and send them the link to purchase the $25 “ticket” to that event and provide any information that's needed (size of group, purpose, specific location, etc.).

  • @Jon Wysong we offer an annual photography membership, which offers the benefits of a Family/Grandparent level membership (admission for the 2 adults named on the card plus eligible kids/grandkids up to 18) and gives the photographer unlimited visits for photo sessions, all for $250 (our Family/GP memberships are $75). Each visit, we allow free admission to the photographer, one assistant, and up to 4 adults (a $60 value). Any others need to pay our standard admission price.

We also offer daily photo permits for $75 (it's a price type), which includes admission for the photographer, one assistant plus 2 adults (a $40 value).

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me directly!

  • @Nina Cunningham thank you. Waiting for my directors to decide exactly how they want to accomplish this.
