Kia ora everyone, I was hoping to connect with other NZ Charities that have made the move from using Online Express donation forms, to NXT donation forms. Was this process easy for you? What are the benefits you have found by using these new forms? How are you with the gift management process etc. It would be great to connect. Thank you so much!

    Hi @Em Siemonek We are looking to trial one NXT Donation Form next month so I am looking at this process myself. I am unhappy with NXT receipting so will be receipting the gifts manually, for the trial at least. I am also disappointed that there is info on the NXT donation that is not available in NXT lists or in database view i.e. the Donation Form name and the Transaction ID. We currently use transaction ID from Online Express for reconciliations so will have to resort to Authorisation code (which is not unique) in combination with the Cardholder name instead.

    The test will be with a small group of known donors but I am aware that false duplicates and lack of quality control on things like updated addresses may be issues. I note the web form address validation is not NZ Post standard. It put “Marlborough” into the suburb field for one of the addresses I tried. I have just done a big clean-up of our NZ suburb and NZ city fields so am not looking forward to doing it again (in webview next time).

    I am not sure the NXT donation forms are developed enough to make the move from Online Express for the bulk of our donations any time soon.

    I would love to hear if you have other concerns or ideas to overcome these issues.

    @Catherine Burns Hiya Catherine, thank you so much for replying! Yeah, I have quite a few concerns about the process - I don't think it's up to scratch for the NZ market yet. I was hoping to start testing it this year, but I keep hitting roadblocks in the process and finding things that just don't make sense to me. I also don't like how donors aren't receipted automatically. I'd love to know how your testing goes, if you wouldn't mind sharing your experience afterwards :)

    @Em Siemonek, our team is also thinking of switching to NXT donation forms. Our main issue with Online Express at the moment is the overall look and feel of it. What are your reasons for your switch? :)
