SKY API Console: "Page you're looking for doesn't exist"

Hi all

I'm trying to open the SKY API Console. I get to

SKY API Console is now connected
For your next steps, go to the application website.
[ Go to application website ] [Close]

but when I click on “Go to application website” I'm brought to a 404 error on developer.sky.blackbaud.com, with the text “Page you're looking for doesn't exist”

I saw a post here that suggests using a browser w/o any extensions and tried that, but same results.

(I have connected my new App to my client's environment - and I also can view their data via their {school}.myschoolapp.com, so I don't believe it's an access/authorization issue)

TIA, -Joel

most SKY API is not working right now due to the global outage that started early this morning.

might want to check out status.blackbaud.com

@Joel Shapiro, thanks for pointing out this redirect issue. The SKY API Console's “Go to application website” action should redirect to https://developer.blackbaud.com/skyapi/docs/getting-started/learn-api. We're taking a look at that now. In the meantime, based on your feedback, we've updated the application to navigate directly to the documentation rather than relying on the redirect.

The browser extension suggestion was in reference to our Endpoint Reference pages. For example, clicking the Endpoint Reference action button from the School API reference page: https://developer.blackbaud.com/skyapi/products/bbem/school. Now that you've connected the SKY API Console, you should be able to test the API using the “Try it” feature from the endpoint reference page. Some users have experienced errors using the “Try it” feature with certain extension points.

  • @Alex Wong Thanks Alex. I'd wondered about that, but it seems the API Console is working (at least at this very second ;)

  • @Chris Rodgers Thanks Chris. I was able to get to - and use ? - the endpoint reference from your second link.
(In case anyone else comes to this post in the future - or if Chris can edit the text - there's an extra dot/period at the end of the 2nd link that produces an error. Remove the dot from the end of the url)
