Custom envelope sizes in Mail

I've been on hold with support for 45 minutes twice now and thought I would ask here. I need to print envelopes from a list but my envelopes are A2 and I can't find that as a choice. I've tried them all. Is there a way to make a custom size in the Mail portion of Database View? Thank You!

@Melissa Duffy if you have your names and addresses in a spreadsheet I would just do a Word merge. Word is more flexible for sizes than RE Mail might be.

Wholeheartedly agree with this. Printing envelopes directly from RE is a fussy process - line breaks are never quite in the right place*, envelopes jam, there is almost always a misspelling, etc. Doing a merge gives you much more control over your final document.

    * I am very aware that you can set up addressees to have specific line breaks. But after working with MANY clients, I've found that this just adds confusion to the addressee configuration, which they are already confused about. If I can get them to standardize addressees and salutations and stop using “editable”, it's a win.

  • @Melissa Duffy I'm honestly surprised that you can still print envelopes out of Mail at all. I didn't think that worked after the break with Microsoft.

That said, I totally agree with @JoAnn Strommen and @Karen Diener - I'd export to .csv and merge in Word.

  • @Melissa Duffy If “postcard” is an envelope size, I have been able to use that option when using A2 envelopes. Our printer doesn't have A2 as an option so this is the only way I have been able to force them to print
