Actions in NXT vs FPM

Hello! We've run into an interesting situation and would like to know if anyone else has experienced or has an answer.

One of our constituents has an overdue action in NXT with no notes, however, the same action (or contact report) in FPM is showing as "completed". I've tried searching the Knowledgebase without much luck but am wondering if once an action's anticipated date has passed, does FPM automatically mark as completed even if it's technically not?

Thank you for any thoughts or guidance!

    @Corri Sensabaugh - Web View goes off of the ‘Completed?’ check box not the status. If the action in question has a status of completed, but the checkbox is not checked. That would be why it's still showing up.

  • @Austen Brown Thank you! So the action in NXT is not marked as “Complete” nor is the checkbox checked (which is accurate - it's an incomplete, overdue action) but for some reason FPM is showing the same action as being completed in FPM. I wasn't sure if because the date the action was to occur had passed, if FPM automatically would have marked as complete.

    @Alex Wong FPM is Fundraiser Performance Management. It's a tool that Blackbaud sells. I had never heard of it until just now myself. shrugs

    @Corri Sensabaugh - This sounds like an integration issue with FPM then, I recommend reaching out to support. Loop your CSM in to help you get your case escalated, they can advocate for your org from within BB.

    @Dariel Dixon
    never heard of this, but am not surprise i guess.

    @Corri Sensabaugh as Austen said, you will need to work with Blackbaud support, since it is a blackbaud product (FPM). It is either a bug on FPM or it is working as designed, but you didn't read the documentation on FPM about it (or maybe wrongly/missed documentation).

    I can't speak to FPM and how it will handle this, though I doubt it will automatically update the completion of the action, but I wanted to provide more detail on how webview indicates that actions are complete.

    This is a setting that you choose. One option is to use the “completed” checkbox. The other option is to use the status checkbox, and indicate which statuses mean “closed”.

    To check your settings, click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the tile on any constituent record. This is a system-wide setting.
