Updating a posted gift

Are you working/looking in db view?

Open the gift record and the Gift dropdown - it should be there unless you do not have user rights

Is that where you are looking?

If it's posted be sure you check with your finance folks as to how they want you to mark it for the GL posting and what date.

@Julie games Check with your finance office. I would say yes if finance's records are to be correct they would need to post it. Not just mark as posted in the adjustment.

Our procedure is to enter original gift date as Adj GL post date, ‘not posted’ and check the box for use adjustment GL post date for the reversal GL post date.

I was told this way when finance posts the original gift and the adjustment are listed next to one another for that date and it's easier for them to track. Don't know how others use those fields.
