Has anyone noticed persistent BBG sluggishness since the Crowdstrike incident?

Crowdsourcing a bit here for my own sanity - has anyone else been finding BBG goes down for a few minutes fairly often since the Crowdstrike incident several weeks ago? It's currently down for me and I can't get the Support page to load to submit a ticket.

It's always been fine for me, maybe goes down once or twice a year for a few minutes, but since Crowdstrike, the performance has been worse.

  • @Elizabeth Donohue Currently down for us too - I've been refreshing the Blackbaud Status page, but the only alert for the last twenty minutes has related to Financial Edge products.

    Attempted to call support, but the phone line was busy. Figured that after being on hold for ten minutes, that other products were affected by this outage. I'd feel a bit better about this if the status page was updated, if I could get in touch with Support, or if an alert was pushed out to users.


  • @Elizabeth Donohue I also have experienced a lot of down time and issues with Blackbaud. I placed a call last week that we were down, but by the time they got back to me, it was back up. It is down for me again now. If you go to the Blackbaud Status, it shows operational. I'm not sure what is going on, but their services have been down more often.

  • @Cheryl Dabat It's very frustrating. I agree - it'll go down for a few minutes, maybe 10-15 minutes, and by the time I start to reach out, it's back up. I reached out to several other grants managers in our orbit on the day that BBG was down during Crowdstrike, and everyone who uses different GMS vendors had no issues that day.

  • @Elizabeth Donohue so very frustrating. Like Michael stated, they don't update the status page in a timely manner, and when you can get through to support, they aren't aware of any issues.

    I am also dismayed when the issue is fixed, we never learn the reason for the issue. Just vague explanations.

  • @Elizabeth Donohue Update: Grantmaking appears operational as of 2:20 PM (CST)!! It appears a fix was implemented in the last 20 minutes.

  • @Elizabeth Donohue I seem to be able to access my data, but my applicants and grantees have been having issues for the past week or two. I am wondering if this has something to do with the new applicant experience.

    I have not tried to bring in new pending applications. I'll give that a try to see if anything happens. Very frustrating.
