When will the Fixed Assets module be available in web view again?

It would be nice if we could add our assets before year-end.

it's been available in webview for quite some time already. Essentially all functionality is already there and they've decommissioned most of the database view functions. The only major function I'd say that is yet to be added , and it's really for all of FE is the adaptation of importing. That lets you add many assets in one go vs manually entering them one by one.

  • @Kevin Brazell Where have they moved it to now? There used to be a dropdown menu at the top named Fixed Assets next to General Ledger. It disappeared a few months ago and was replaced with Allocations. I figured they were still working out glitches because they are constantly removing modules and adding them back with no warning. I don't even question when things disappear anymore because it happens so often.

  • @Christina Moore Maybe it is a security issue? I am an admin and have had access to Fixed Assets since it went live in FENXT.

It should still be there. I think Jann is correct, it may be a security issue. It's still a menu item at the top and has drop downs like Payables and General Ledger. I'd confirm if someone updated your security rights as if you had the module previously, it should still be there.

Interesting… I am the admin for our company so nothing should have changed unless Blackbaud made security changes internally, which wouldn't surprise me. I just wish they would give a warning when they do this kind of thing. If I go to Security > Role Management there is no section for Fixed Assets at all. I guess I need to contact Blackbaud… but I appreciate your responses!

@Christina Moore, I think you should contact your Account Executive because I don't see that your organization has a subscription for Fixed Assets in your FENXT package. You can definitely start with support but I imagine they're going to see the same thing and have to get you connected to your AE.
