Mid-grant transition

I'm still learning about the new system and the workflows, and I'm wondering if anyone is further ahead in their learning than I am ?.

I'm wondering about the process to switch grantees mid-grant cycle. We award grants that should be expended within 12 months. Our most recent round closed August 12 (applications are in the legacy portal). For projects that are awarded funding, their final report will be due in October 2025 (past the sunset date of the legacy portal). So I am considering switching them to the new grantee portal ASAP, starting with their grant agreement within the next few weeks so they're into the new system before their progress reports are due. But if I'm understanding the requirements in the new system, they're linked to the program (vs. linked to the request in the legacy portal). And these applicants aren't currently linked to a program in the new applicant portal.

Has anyone figured out the switch?
