Refunding donations
Is there a way to make Raiser's Edge generate a journal entry to send to Financial Edge when a gift is refunded? I can only find support articles about how to do the refund in RE, but no discussion about the effects on the general ledger and how to make sure the cash account doesn't get messed up. I would prefer an audit trail in RE so we can see exactly what happened, but maybe I'm expecting RE to act more like a general ledger than it is supposed to.

@Susan Trippe Would adjusting the gift to $0 in RE and marking it as a refund on the adjustment do the trick? Adjustments can be sent to FE via the Post to GL tool and that leaves a trail in RE.

I think this is what our Development person is doing, and it's not generating a JE. Maybe she's leaving out a step. I'll have to get more details from her. So far I'm having to book manual JEs to correct things on the GL.0 -
@Susan Trippe You can't post Adjustments if you are linking to a Query when you Post to GL, but they can be posted.
