I was testing the new grading system and planning to implement it at our school for the quarter 1 grading period starts at October 15th. When the teacher marks "Review" for all students and the grading manager selects "Reviewed," the grades would be locked in the old grading system. However, in the new grading system, it allows the teacher to "Calculate" again, requiring the grading manager to review the grades once more, as the grades are not locked after the grading manager marks them as reviewed. I have identified this as an issue in the new grading system.

    We have this defect logged in our backlog and are planning on addressing it in the near future. We'll have the What's New updated once the work item has been released to live environments.

    Is the new grading system still in beta, or has it gone live? Is it okay to make the 'New Grading' active and instruct our teachers to use it instead of the old grading system for this quarter's grading?

    @Michael Morrissette Are there still plans to make the old end-of-term grade entry experience inaccessible this fall? We've activated the new version but the old one still shows.

    @Michael Morrissette Do you know if the “near future” is within 30 days-ish? We really can't have teachers changing grades that the department chairs have reviewed - that's been procedure for 15+ years now with the old grading experience.

    As of right now, we're planning on releasing the new experience when most school are on winter break. Likely sometime mid-December to early January. More details on the exact timeframe in the very near future!

    This is being worked on by our engineers now. We should have this implemented likely in the next release, if not the release after.
