New Grading - Another Suggestion

@Michael Morrissette - A faculty member working on 1st quarter comments just came to my office with a wonderful suggestion for another way to enhance the new grading view.

When “student details” is viewed, the Gradebook history displays averages for the CURRENT marking period. At our school, we write comments after the end of the marking period, and teachers would like to see the averages from the marking period for which they are writing. Teachers would love the option to either view both or be able to toggle between last marking period and current marking period.

They love being able to see the grading history.

We work this way as well. For example, the current marking period ends Oct 25th. Teachers finalize grades and write and edit comments through Oct 30th, which is the next marking period. We would love for this to show the gradebook cumulative average details that are tied to the term for which they are writing comments. We haven't reached end of quarter yet, so I wasn't aware that this would happen. Thanks for the heads up. We've actually turned the “new grading” tab off for this quarter as we are waiting for the grade locking issue to be resolved.

    Hi @Scott Chrysler -

Thanks for suggestion! We'll be adding a dropdown to that screen so the teacher can easily select which marking periods' data they want to consume.

No timeline to relay on this just yet, but we have it in the backlog and will triage it as capacity allows!
