WHY is attendance tied with conduct?

I hope I am wrong, and I probably am because I am a newbie to Blackbaud, but it makes no sense to me that the attendance and conduct areas are linked. We have assistant principals who put conduct/infractions into Blackbaud. We have an attendance officer who keeps up with absences and tardies. We found that she needs access to the conduct manager section of BB. This makes no sense!! We have sensitive information in the conduct section that we do not necessarily want the attendance officer to see. Am I getting this wrong? Please, someone tell me it isn't really setup like I think it is!

So, you don't need to go into the Conduct module. You can do it from student directories, activities, groups, rosters, etc. I, actually, used the Dorm section to add students and it gives everyone easy access to write an infraction.

    Thanks.

  • @Joy Campbell, like our school, if you are tardy too much or absent too much we have a threshold we use to create the infraction. For example, if you are tardy up to 5 times, 9, 12 times, we created an infraction. Same with absent, 5, 9, 12. Some attendance are linked with conduct if that is depending on the tardies and absences.
