How to USE requests from new application?

Hi All,

I recently took the time to watch all of the trainings and create the new application! Yay! I've mostly figured out all of the errors on my end and the application functions pretty smoothly. I created a program and new forms that I plan to use to replace the old requirement process. I've made some test applications and have encountered a ton of BBG issues- Is anybody else feeling like this product isn't ready?

  • Statuses don't update on the applicant side outside from Awaiting Review and In Review. Once I approved or declined, they all stayed “in review”
  • Email templates? How do we use the new ones? the automated ones for application submission and account creation are working, but how do I sent the approval email? I'm only able to see the legacy email button and those emails all have information pertinent to the legacy application and not the new one…
  • Requirements? They are all legacy. I made a workflow with additional forms in a new “program” how do you use that workflow?

I guess I'm just really confused because I thought we should be able to use this platform, and it clearly isn't ready for users. I manage hundreds of requests per year, so I can't utilize a beta product.

      • At this additonal statuses such as Approval/Declination do not push to the Grantee Portal for Blackbaud Grantmaking requests. This is something that may be supported in the future.

      • Emails that are currently in the Blackbaud Grantmaking Document Template Manager are largely still used. So existing Approval and Declination emails should continue to be used. This allows you full control over when they are sent.

      • Information on how legacy requirements will be transitioned is coming, at this time requirements for applcations coming in through the new portal is fully supported, but moving legacy requirements to be completed is coming.
  • @Martha Ricketts, if this is helpful, I discovered the “Publish” button that allows applicants to see their status as approved or declined is unavailable to us, so we are waiting for a system update. For the emails, we have opted out of most as they are automated, and they are the same for all requirements (we have several types in one program), and for now, we can not include a due date. Finally hopefully, there will be an update on how to move existing requirements onto the new platform in the November PUB.

    My best recommendation is to attend the Product Update Briefings that were just announced for November 13-15. If there are specific features you are waiting for there may be more information then.
