Entering Line Items in Purchase Orders Web View

In database, we are able to just enter the Product ID and it populates descriptions, uom, price, etc. Is this not going to be an option in web view? Are the item records accessible, or are we basically creating a new item every time? It seems like a step backwards if I am understanding correctly.

  • @Jessica Stickels our Director of Purchasing says the same thing. She ended up reaching out to Support, who recorded her explanation and steps in the system to show what she meant, and the response was “We'll take this to the engineers”. As always, we are just waiting to see what each “wave” brings--if you create the PO in database view and open it in web view, everything transfers over, but continuing to utilize database view seems backwards when being encouraged to use NXT (and forced as “waves” remove functions in database view as they are suddenly live in web view.) Another purchasing issue in web view currently is the ability to add a discount line. If you add it the way we used it in database view, you are unable to save the PO in web view, because of an out of balance error. Support has also had no real response to if this will get resolved.

    @Jessica Stickels
    We did not initially bring over support for Products in webview, but we're working on it now and are targeting a release early next year.
