Querying and Reporting on Event Sponsors

Is there a way in NXT to get a list of only Sponsors for an Event? There are a couple of things that I'm after for this, as I'd like to know the detail the constituents who were/are event sponsors, as well as get a summary of those sponsorships levels. While I know I can see some of this information on the Event page in web view, is there a way to export what is in that panel?

Is this something that is easily reported from database view? Is there a field I'm missing that provides a way a select the name of the events and a sponsorship level? (Or is this only available by using the Fund and an Appeal?)

I need to find a way to create a list/query of past sponsors of the last several years of an event, which I can use in an export for mailing and emailing purposes.

Thanks.

    @Chris Zello Hi Chris - There are some “canned” reports in RE that might help. It depends on how you utilize “sponsor” in the event module. By Sponsor, do you mean someone who only paid to support the event but did not attend or do you mean someone who gave at certain levels?

    If “sponsor” means a gift at a certain $ amount, you could do a gift query with the event name and gift amount. Or, depending on how you define sponsor (maybe a sponsor has the same gift and receipt amount and a participant does not?) you could do the same thing with an additional line in the query dealing with the receipt amount.

    I make it bit easier on myself by setting up a separate appeal for each event.

  • @roger berg I spoke with our gift processing team, and we don't have a special sponsorship appeal in those gifts. They have been entering the gift and then linking it to the event.

    What I'm really asking for is something like the Participation field, which allows me to select if someone attended, BUT for the Sponsorship. I'm trying to select the names of the sponsorship levels. Alas, I don't see this as a query field.

    But you did get me thinking about doing a Gift Query. Thanks.

    @Chris Zello
    As mentioned by Roger, it really depends on how “Sponsor” is recorded in your org.

    Assuming your recording of “Sponsor” is the Participation field on the participant record, then your only option here is to use Query from dbview or (if you have it, in webview) or use Query API. As there is no way to create a “list” on the webview across event.

    @Chris Zello We set up an appeal for each event and use packages for the different levels and years.

    @Chris Zello Ran into same question/issue today. Apparently data entered by two different people in different manner. We have some event sponsors showing in web view as they were registered/linked to event. Others are not showing as entered by someone else as a sponsor. What a mess.

    Did find several posts in idea bank. Please vote:
