New applicant portal- hidden fields on form to determine request type

We used hidden fields on the first pages of our forms so that upon submission, the requests would automatically be categorized with the correct Giving Type and Status when considered. Although set up correctly, this does not function properly. I was informed by support that this is a known issue, so I thought I'd let others know as well.

  • @Kayte Wisor Interesting - I have a hidden field and so far it's not causing me issue <fingers crossed>. Other fields are, however, causing issue so it's still a learning journey! ? Thanks for sharing - it's good to know how others are experiencing the new portal!

    As of mid-January, I was able to hide a field and the coding field updated properly. I'm actually adding a hidden page to hold all those fields so I can identify them easily.

  • @Valerie Marshall I wonder if the issue is field dependent. It would be helpful if known issues were shared with us so we would know! Glad it is working for you.

  • @Kayte Wisor do you know how to un-hide a field in the Edit function in the new grantee portal? I am testing now and don't see the hidden field in the Edit version to un-hide it. thanks!
