Is anyone else having issue with data entry for a regular general journal batch where moving between fields with the tab key no longer works consistently? I can add and account and tab over to the batch default date field but then if I tab again, the cursor ends up in the “Back to top” field. If I manually then move the cursor to the next open field, I can tab through to the end of the row but then end up in “Back to top” again instead of the beginning of the next row.

I opened a case and did a screen share with the BB rep, but got as message the next day that "Unfortunately, as mentioned on the call, the issue is not an error and therefore cannot be changed, you may attempt to use the platform on another browser for different results.” Not helpful, Blackbaud. Also as mentioned on the call, I have been using the tab key for data processing in NXT for more than a year, this issue just started last week, and I have not changed keyboard or browsers.

    @Mary McMillan I had the same issue yesterday! I thought it was something I was doing! I usually upload journal entries but for some reason I lost my Excel add-in and had trouble getting it back so decided to copy a similar entry and adjust what I needed. While doing that ran into the tab issue you mentioned in your post!

    @Brenda Rosado Does it sound weird to say I'm glad to hear that? I was starting to think it was something I was doing.

    @Mary McMillan Yes, everybody in my department is having the same issue. I didn't open a case with Blackbaud because I figured the response you received is what I would get so I didn't bother. Very frustrating.

    @Mary McMillan yes me too!!! I created a post about it as well… nothing back… if you make it an idea please let me know and I will vote on it to get it fixed as this is ridiculous!

    @Holly Jacques I replied to Case Support with this Community chain. Maybe they will realize I am not alone with this problem

    @Mary McMillan Yes I have the same behavior and it's frustrating. I have another issue with journal entry, sometimes I'm completely unable to click on a cell in the Dr or Cr column. So far I've only seen it JEs that I copy. I'm going to database to complete the entry but that's going away soon.

    I am having the same issue too. I have been around and around with Blackbaud support, even sent a recording of me entering a journal entry. Blackbaud was no help, was told that is just “how the software works”, even though it was not an issue a few weeks ago. Honestly I feel that Blackbaud does know why and does not care to know why and is not concerned that it is an issue for their customers.

    I have been having the same issue for quite some time now too. I hope BB gets it resolved soon. It used to work just fine; not sure what happened.

    @Mary McMillan I noticed this issue for almost 4 weeks. It disrupts the flow of Journal Entry. I always have been able to use the tab key to move to each field, now it stops at after Post date and won't move to the next field. I moved the POST DATE to the end and now you can tab thru each field. Hope that helps everyone.

    TO move Post Date, just drag it to the end of the last field you want to use.
