check processing

has anyone else had an issue with NXT processing check payments on its own? On multiple occasions we have gone into the process payments screen to print checks for our payables. We needed to cancel out to adjust something so we hit cancel, NXT ends up processing the checks anyways. We then have to void all the checks because they didn't print and go back and process all over again. I started a case, we're still waiting for a resolution, I was just wondering if anyone else had run into this

    NXT prints the checks as soon as you choose which invoices to print and create the PDF for them, not when you actually run the printer. So if you close the file, it should pop up a question, asking you if the checks printed correctly. If you didn't literally print them yet, you can say NO and NXT will then give you the option to re-print.

    We didn't actually process. We went into the screen where you would normally process realized there was an error and hit cancel. There was no PDF generated, we exited from the screen by pressing cancel. The checks still processed there was no pop up to ask if they had been successful. It's happened a couple of times, pressing cancel seems to still generate a check in the background even though there is no PDF generated.

  • @Roberta A Gilbert I understand that but that not how NXT is behaving. IT literally processes the check on its own even if you hit cancel. Nothing pops up to ask if it was successful, nothing to export or print. The only way you can tell it happened is because there is now a check number if you go into the registry.
