Trancript data from another system

Can someone point me to the directions on how to import transcript data from another system. Thanks. Rich

There's a lot of maintenance that needs to be done in Blackbaud to accomplish this.

Core > System Tools > Data Import > Create Import Job > Category: Student > Import type: Transfer Grades.

To start, you need to have prior years build in core. If you're importing prior year term grades, the terms need to be built in BB. You must have an equivalent course in BB for the import to process. Each equivalent course needs to be associated with a grade plan group. The grade plan group's grade plans and grade plan grades need to be copied to prior years. You need to make sure that the grade category that you designate in your file is configured correctly to accept either a numeric grade or a letter grade.

Well hey, props to you for getting 7500 grades to pass! That’s very impressive! You’ll just want to make sure that you copy back your grade plans to prior years in order to get the grades to display on transcripts and make sure all of your equivalent courses are associated with grade plan groups!

That was definitely a snag but once I figured that out all went smoothly, but there were a few frustrations until then. Lesson learned- if you get a weird error message about not having unique (something I have blocked it) exception then the problem at least in our case was that while the years were in, I had not also added the grade plans. Once I did that for all 4 years then we were golden.
