Code descriptions ordering in new portal forms

Currently creating and testing our new forms. We include demographic and other coded questions in our application forms such as age group, gender, and UN Sustainable Development Goals from which applicants select from a drop-down list. In IGAM, the dropdowns appear in the order we want them to e.g. for Age Group, 0-2, 3-5, etc and with the UN Goals, from Goal 1 through to Goal 17. In the new form, all the code are not showing up in our preferred order but in alpha order or some other numeric order that looks dumb - is anyone else having this issue and have they worked out a way around it other than getting into the Classifications and relabelling everying with an a, b, c in front? Our UN Goal coding is showing up with Goal 10-17 first then Goal 1-9. As well, the dropdown appears as an Up so that the question becomes hidden and it looks like the reponse choice is for a completely different, earlier question! Very clumsy design and I can't seem to change it.

  • @Sarah Bartak I'm having a similar issue. When I add a new Classification code, within the new form, the new addition does not stay in alpha order but instead falls to the bottom of the list, outside of alpa order. I was told by Customer Support this is a known defect the team is looking into. If you submit a case, they can hopefully add you to the escalated defect case.

  • @Colleen Glenn
    Thanks, I'll do that.
  • Hello, adding to this (in case anyone can advise), when we add classification questions to a new application form, the code number as well as the description are visible eg:

This is clunky and doesn't make any sense. The code numbers are purely there to facilitate a logical non-alpha order, and if we remove them, then that logical ordering is no longer possible (just alpha order).

Has anybody been able to unpick or resolve this?
