GET Academic Course API returns Community Groups

Does anyone use the Get Academic Course API and notice it returns more than just courses? For us, I'm realizing it's returning our Community Groups (which are setup as continuous). However, the documentation doesn't state it will include groups. @Stephen Boyle maybe something to look at?

    @Lindsey Bryant - I don't use that particular endpoint, but I tested it in the endpoint reference page with the Try It link. I see academic groups, athletic groups (teams), and community groups.

    There is no “offering type” field, but I notice that for Athletic groups and Community groups the Departments field is defined but empty (i.e., length = 0).

    Academic groups do have a value in the Department field.

    Thanks for the insight. Though I agree we could probably figure out a way to only extract the academic courses, I think this specific API should only be returning those. There are specific APIs to gather athletic, community groups and advisors. To me, it's misleading and I would like to see a built in filter either added or available.

    @Lindsey Bryant I was able to reproduce the behavior reported in this post and I am submitting the issue to our development team via the existing ticket you already have opened for the other community group issue.
