Interfund balancing entry error

We are trying to validate a JE, and we keep getting an error message and the interfund balancing section indicates some lines out of balance. We have the box checked to create the interfund entries (as we always have and do). It is a debit to a fund 4 revenue account with a credit to a fund 1 cash account. Please see below. How do I fix this? And why is it suddenly doing this?

I have the same issue. One JE was fine, another failed to validate due to interfund being out of balance. I created the JE again with no luck.

@Tanya Ferguson This happens on occasion in our system as well. To get thing to validate and post we add a transfer in and a transfer out transaction to rebalance whatever is out of balance. Once we have added those two transaction the JV will validate and post.

Also experiencing this issue right now. Our rules are set up to automatically create them. I found two $0 lines in the entry and deleted those, which is what I thought was preventing the balancing entry from being created, but it still won't balance. We can of course manually force it to balance by adding the lines ourselves, but the entire purpose of it auto generating is to ensure the entry is done correctly.

Not sure why this is happening, and curious if it's happening across the system…

@Tanya Ferguson I think this is new problem happening with the system. We have opened a ticket with support as we have had this same problem happen with two different journals now. So, you may want to open a ticket as it may be a system problem.

@Tanya Ferguson I had to the same problem back in November when I was trying to close. I opened a ticket with Blackbaud about it because I was able to fix the problem in database, but can't in NXT. The case is still open and they recently told me the problem was my configuration. If it was my configuration, why wasn't it a problem in database? Frustrating.

@Tanya Ferguson We are having the very same problem. It began in the last month. Prior to this, we had been able to validate, which created balancing interfund lines in our JV. Something must have changed, because now we have to validate in Database view, or create the interfund entries manually. NXT will not validate. We opened a case with Blackbaud, and their advice is to clear the browser cache. That doesn't make sense, because we had been validating successfully for many months prior to this. Blackbaud must have changed something that has disrupted this function. (We haven't touched our configurations and have been validating successfully in DB view for 18 years), I share your frustration.

@Tanya Ferguson I started having this issue in November as well. It was trying to balance the interfunds with projects and we don't want that and have it marked as such. We also had restrictions on certain projects of what accounts can be charged against with those projects. Once everything moved to NXT, I couldn't fix the problem because it doesn't create the interfunds in the journal entry so I can correct. I opened a case in November for this. I've been back and forth with them almost weekly since I opened the case. Yesterday they informed me they couldn't reproduce the issue so they were closing my case. Hoping since I'm seeing a lot of other people having this issue as well, that it will get resolved.
