Aatrix 1099 correction based off tax payer employer name not matching FEIN

We received a rejection of our 1099-NECs and 1099 MISCs due to our Employer name not matching our FEIN with our filing. When attempting to correct the issue and following the instruction provided by Aatrix, the option to make any corrections does not exist. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, how did you resolve it? If not, when should we expect the “Correct completed 1099s” button to be an option again?

    So an update for anyone interested or experiencing a similar situation with Aatrix: turns out that corrections are not accessible through web view at this time and you will need to download their software to make any corrections. I've copied their step below, but to summarize, download the software, run it to update the prompt, and email them so they can call you and link to your computer to make give you access to your 1099 files.

    "As corrections are not yet available in 1099 web processing, please download our desktop software.

    Click this link to download the ACA / W2 / 1099 Preparer:

    Once this is done, open the software and run the automatic update if prompted. If you encounter an error, have your IT go to https://www.aatrix.com/info/updates/ and review both the requirements and technical information tabs.

    After these two steps, email us with your contact name, direct phone number and we will be contacting you back within 1-3 businesses days. Please note, in January the correction process is not supported and a tech will respond to your email in February to set up a time.The exception to this would be if you are working on additions to the filing, or working with an IRS notice. If this exception applies, reply to this email.

    A support tech will need to convert your files from web to standard in order to make the corrections.

    They did get back to me the day of when I emailed them the request to assist with the corrections. It was also stated to me after the assistance that next year corrections will be available via web view. Good luck.

    @Andrew Lilek - thank you for the information. I went into do some corrections that I received back and was told that they could not help me and to go directly through the IRS. Isn't this what we paid them for when filing? Very frustrating.

    Yes, I was told this by Aatrix today. I was told that corrections are being handled differently this year and that a ticket would be put in for me and I would be emailed if there were any further instructions. It said I would have to contact the IRS for any changes. I'm going back through the steps to see any sort of work around. I had one 1099 where the woman with a married name never changed her name legally and it is being kicked back. Last year I was able to make corrections easily. This is not okay.
