Copy / Duplicate Splits

Hello Friends! When I duplicate a line in a journal with complicated and lengthy splits, the system ignores my split amounts and casts the new splits on the copied line proportionally, evenly divided between each row. This is rather bothersome, as I then need to retype all my split numbers down the list. My coworkers who have been here longer than me, assure me that this did not occur in database view and that splits were maintained when copied. I'm new and working in NXT. I just did one with 60 lines, so you can imagine it's quite a rub. Any tips on something I may be doing wrong? I appreciate your guidance. Thanks!
