Expense Management - "Transaction Distribution must be fully distributed"

Is anyone else getting this error in Expense management, even when the item is fully distributed? It's happening randomly to my users (and me)…have had a ticket in with blackbaud, but we are getting nowhere, and my chat today sad “someone will pick your case surely and contact you when possible”. Not very helpful when I'm trying to close the month.

    Yes!! We have had this as well. Personally I think there is rounding happening in the background that we can't see so it looks correct on the screen, but it thinks it is not 100%. What we have done is gone back into Webinvoicing and from there been able to get it to accept it.

    It happened to one of my invoice requests. I entered two lines, same account but with different project IDs. Amounts added up but I kept getting the Transaction Distribution must be fully distributed error - super frustrating. What finally worked was deleting one of the lines and using the split feature. I entered each amount, the project, and then hit apply. I was finally able to submit the invoice. No more errors. I've never had issues with entering multiple lines before. This is the first time this has happened.

  • @Debbie Arthur we don't use projects. But I'm thinking BB has implemented some sort of change behind the scenes and that's why this is happening.

    I'm sure you're right. There have been so many changes lately. And no, I didn't submit a ticket since it finally worked. If this continues to happen though, I definitely will.

  • @Molly Maher Yes, we have same problem all of a sudden. I talked to support through the Chat and they said it is a glitch. The workaround is that you have to click the “split” icon next to the account in the Distribution box. It then pops up a window and you have to enter the amount for that account number again for each account. Hope that helps!
