Power Automate Blackbaud Add-ins connector Send HTTP error

Trying to use the Blackbaud Add-ins connector's action to Send an HTTP request for PATCH-ing an existing gift resulted in Error.

See regular HTTP that works:

e3547caac980f3940e445aae24046e37-huge-re

Now the BB HTTP that result in 404:

e9d7a0eb7e51cd6ec5762f8d39b839dd-huge-bb

I already reported to Blackbaud Support, but wonder if anyone else aware of this or perhaps see where my problem is.

  • Hi @Alex Wong, this is a bug in the connector with PATCH operations. I know the team is aware of this, so hopefully a fix will be available soon.

@Ben Lambert @Alex Wong Yes, the team have been looking into this bug and have engaged the Microsoft team to help troubleshoot. It doesn't appear to be an obvious problem in our code, so we're still investigating. Will keep you guys updated. Thanks!

  • @Ben Wong
Any progress on fixing the “Send an HTTP request” to handle PATCH?

  • @Ben Lambert is the PATCH operation still not working?

@Ryan Carr this has been a long journey! Latest update is that Microsoft made a change to enable us to support the PATCH operations using the Send HTTP request action. We updated our connector and have submitted it to Microsoft. It has been approved but we've been waiting on the deployment to happen for a few months now. Microsoft haven't been able to tell us any precise date for when customers will start seeing the update, but it should be a matter of weeks now. Thanks for checking in!

Thanks for the update. Good to know Blackbaud has done its part and it's just waiting on MS now. Hope they get on it asap.

  • @Ben Wong this is great news!

  • @Ben Wong
How would we go about finding out? Is there a resource to check on updates like this?

@Ryan Carr we updated the logo in the same update. So if you see the connector logo with the blue to green gradient in the background (similar to the RENXT Query connector logo) you'll know that it's the updated connector.

@Ryan Carr @Alex Wong @Ben Lambert FYI we're seeing that the updated SKY Add-ins connector has deployed in the U.S region now. For some reason, there was some deployment issue on the Microsoft side in the U.S, so other regions received the update earlier. The good news is that PATCH operations should finally be supported now!

@Alex Wong thank you for your patience! It only took over 2 years!

  • @Ben Wong- EXCITING to read that PATCH works. Thanks Ben! It was tough for a low-coder to learn how to use the refresh tokens just to use PATCH.
