Is there a way to hide a gift attribute from the confirmation email?

We have student callers using the NXT Standard donation form for Thank you calling.

In OLX the Comment field does not show with the Gift information in the email confirmation the donor receives. This is very useful to transfer call notes to the constituent record. Or add an internal note when processing a gift for a donor via phone.

Is there a way to add fields to the donation form the student caller can fill in that will not be shown to the donor, like an Administrative notes field?

@Candy Reichert, technically Blackbaud a year or two ago began recommending that all internally-processed donations be put through the BBMS merchant portal rather than an an OLX donation page. In fact, if you process too many gifts through an OLX form from the same computer, fraud security detects it and blocks future transactions for, I think, 24 hours. If you go this route, you can add a comment to the gift for your internal staff, and then email confirmations can be processed in NXT webview's native gift e-acknowledgment process.

That being said, there's a definite downside to using the BBMS merchant portal, primarily that you can't pull and print an individual gift as easily, and you don't have the benefit of internal event fields for event attribute tracking. So there's bugs either way.

Hmmm. Thanks for the response. I'll look into it deeper. However, it seems I remember the BBMS portal is not a good fit for tracking along with all the rest of the gifts in a batch. It pulls it completely out of the work flow and basically makes everything manual entry. Much easier to miss something.
