When entering a new "regular batch" you need to add batch defaults but it doesn't save the default

In the database I would set the default (for the date) and this date would save until I changed it. I can add several JE with the same date & keep the same defaults for every entry.

Now I have to “add batch defaults” EVERY SINGLE time! For some reason the cash account number is automatically there (that I didn't enter) that I have to delete every time and then add the post date, save & close. Then when I enter the next one I have to do this AGAIN! Why?! I just feel like I'm frustrated so much with this NXT!?

    @Lisa Ford, I just tested this in sample and I'm unable to duplicate the issue – i.e. the date and other field defaults set are saved when I insert each line. With that in mind, please report this issue to our Support team so we can get to the bottom of it and resolved for you and your team.

    It saves it so I can enter my JE that has several lines if that's what you mean. I'm saying that if I “save & close” or “save & new” the JE & go to make another JE I have to go in to set the default again and the cash account number is there & I have to change the date, etc again.

    @Lisa Ford, ah thank you for clarifying for me! I interpreted your issue differently than the user defaults and thought it was just the individual batches not taking your defaults. It does look like that is not yet available in webview, like it was in database view, due to low usage. I'd recommend posting/voting on this in the IdeaBank for those of you who do utilize this option. Sorry for my confusion and the pain this is causing you!

  • @Nikki Baldwin I am finding the exact same issue. The whole point of a batch is that youy dont have to repeat input information that is unchnaging. The migration to webview seems to be a massive backward step in terms of efficiency and repeat processing/. Additionally our account manager is totally unresponsive.
