Has anyone made a connection with Rasier's Edge NXT API using Copy Activity in Data Flow In fabrics?

Want to learn how to use the rest api in Microsoft fabrics. Might need to dumb it down a little for my first time use case.

    Once you have some understanding, then it is about what are you trying to do.

    The word “fabrics” is a bit ambiguous, so let's start with what you are trying to do and the community can help guide you

    @Alex Wong We are trying to get all of our Raiser's Edge data into Microsoft Fabric (through Data PipeLine or DataFlow), so we can transform and create Power BI reports. Please provide any resources / documentation that might help us. Thank You.

    I do not use the toolset you mentioned, so can't be of help. I am not aware of any official doc from Blackbaud on its use in direct relationship with Blackbaud's data.

    @Erik Leaver @Subash Mahat I just figured out how to connect to Get Constituent in a data pipeline that copied everything over to my Lakehouse. I also was able to set it on a schedule. That said, I am not 100% that the bearer token I am using will have a long life, but that is a tomorrow problem. I'm happy to connect and show you the little bit that I know.

    @Alex Wong a few months back (it may have been in the fall PUB series) there was a document that explained how BB is intending to integrate with Microsoft more and Co-Pilot and Fabrics were 2 products specifically mentioned.

    @Sannath Kumar you can create Power BI reports without the use of Fabric as well. I would imagine if you are using Fabric you plan to use other developer tools in addition to Power BI.

    I remember the “mention” but have not seen any official documentation on this. It was still leaving up to us to “figure it out”. I'm glad Liz was able to figure it out, however, regular refresh of data is going to require some more effort I think. I don't know if Blackbaud+MS has figure it out for us yet.

    And then there is the issue of Query API which works significantly different than a Get constituent list api endpoint and I uses it to gather all sorts of data field that is not available via the standard API endpoints. Maybe Liz can share if she has conquer that yet.

    @Alex Wong et. al: There was a bbdevdays session, Modernizing Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT® Data Workflows: Automating Analytics with Fabric and SKY API® by Bill Walsh and @Wadih Pazos at Esgenio that talked through their process of connecting to Fabric. Those with Developer & Skills Lab's passes can view that session on demand. I expect it to be available to all via the Sky Developer YouTube channel in mid-August.
