Show Constituent ID during a search in NXT

I need to see the constituent ID when searching for a record. We are four regions using the same database. We need the ID to determine the correct record. I have been asking this question for a while with no response. We cannot use NXT without this feature. Please advise and thank you.

as Blackbaud would tell you: put in an idea in the RE NXT Idea Bank.

Unfortunately, that is the only route to get new feature/function, once you got the idea (or maybe already have an idea out there) you can post here and try to get more people to vote on it

@Kathy SchwartfigureYopp - Here's an existing idea in the RE NXT idea bank you can vote for:

  • I wouldn't create a new entry in the idea bank for this. Here's the ones that already exist, going back years. There should really be a way to get them combined and all the votes counted together.

@Kathy SchwartfigureYopp When you search, the drop down options won't show you what you need, but, if you hit enter, it will take you to the search results screen which will show you the full list including the Const ID, alias, etc. I know it's an extra step, but perhaps that will suffice until a better solution comes out?

  • Could you just search by Constituent ID rather than name? If you type the constituent ID, the name should populate with the ID below it. Alternatively, Aldera's solution below should work now that hitting “Enter” on NXT search populates a nice search list.
