Sorry if this is a dumb question - We are still using Online Express (OLX) in dataview for donations made through our website. This automatically sends the donor an email with a link to their receipt after they have made their donation. I'd like to look at making the move from OLX over to NXT, but can't see if there is a way to set up automatic receipting for it. Is there?

    @Linda Miller Yes RE NXT also has the option to send an email when a gift is made. I think those emails are actually even a bit more customizable in RE NXT.

    Hi @Linda Miller. In NXT once a gift is received, the donor will receive a confirmation email (which you have the ability to customize). The gift will then go into a batch for you to review/approve. Only once the batch is approved will the email with the receipt link be issued (again you have the ability to do a bit of customization).

    Our customer success rep. mentioned that Blackbaud will be releasing an update to fully automate this process later this year, which I think will be shared at the next product update briefing in May.

    We're likely going to hold off on making the full switch for all of our donation forms until this update is released.

    @Linda Miller To get ready to use NXT donation forms I would recommend working on setting up your receipts in NXT. There are a couple different places you will need to do this. The Email receipt is the most customizable right now. The PDF receipt is more standard and will look similar to the OLX receipt link that is in the email confirmation in OLX. At this time there is not much you can do to change the PDF receipt. Looking forward to the May PUBs.

    @Linda Miller It might be useful for you to set up one standard and one optimized donation form after you set up those receipts. I think the PUB will make more sense if you have navigated each donation form once and maybe made a dollar gift on each so you can get the donor experience.
