Journal Entry import

From the last product briefing, I understood that there would be a different option for journal entry import that was similar to what was in the database. Will that be rolled out before the JE function in the database is turned off in March?

@John Wall, Yes, you should see this in the ‘What’s Recent' section from November 21, 2024, that Import was released in webview to everyone. It links out to the in-product how-to page:

You can find this under General Ledger > Import in webview. That will be the same for each ledger/subledger, to see import under the header there.

  • @John Wall I'm curious if any of your imports are working in WebView. Mine are not and database view is gone. Specifically, I'm not able to refresh or reattach a new CSV file. It seems to keep the previous CSV no matter if I try to rename or replace with the same name.

@Lauren Chivers I thought I would post this to this question thread as well as the original question that I posted it to. Here is how this is working for us. Each time you save a new file that needs to be processed through an import you need to associate the new file with the import records and save it. Then you go into the 3 dots menu for the import record and choose run. We have not had any problems doing this process. The only other thing that we did have problems with in the beginning is that the import record options that came over from database view would not work correctly. So I set up new ones in web view and haven't had any problems. If you have large imports the one time mapping can be a pain though.
