Adding a campaign to a processed gift

In the database view, I want to add a campaign to gifts that have already been processed. Some gifts will let me edit and some are shaded and will not let me edit.

Are the greyed out fields on gifts that are posted?

If not posted, it's as @Marie Stark suggested.
If there's a split you need to go to the split gift tab to edit campaign or any data.
If there's an adjustment, you need to open adjustment to edit.

@JoAnn Strommen yes, they are posted and are not split gifts. I've tried adjustment and it doesn't have the campaign category available.

@Sheri Yanik If you want to add campaign to posted gifts, you should be able to do it thru an adjustment. The campaign data is on the split gift tab.

NOTE: if gift is posted be sure to check with your accounting/finance folks. The adjustment will come thru when they post gifts again. They may or may not want to use adjustment date for the posting. (our process is to check the box and put the original gift date - I was told this way the lines come next to each other when they post it)

Not sure how secure you are in use of RE. There is an unpost plug-in that can be used. Takes great care and again you would want to clear with accounting how it would be done.

Another thing just to know - you can respond to any posts with one reply. Anyone who is subscribed and saw your original post will see the response vs. getting a separate email for each.
