Raiser's Edge NXT - not recognizing new constituents in gift batches

Is anyone else experiencing this when entering gifts in NXT? Typically, NXT recognizes and alerts of new constituents which prompts me to update important info on their record. I've come across a few records recently where the name format fields were blank and then today I noticed that a NEW constituent wasn't recognized at all. Is this a user error or a setting that maybe I need to turn on in NXT?

@Lance Seagle For new constituents created via webview, there are no defaults to add specific name format fields or primary addressee/salutation upon record creation. Additionally, even if those fields are required in database view those requirements to not carry over to webview.

As for constituents not showing up in batch, I have not experienced that. May need to check with support on that.

  • @Lance Seagle I've been going back and forth with support on this since the end of February. If it helps, my Case # is 020006723 and the description I entered when initiating the ticket was “Left menu rolled out to environment yesterday. Today noticing possible bug. In the past, in Gift Management if I clicked on a name it would open the record. Now it just opens main page and I have to search for the record. When clicking on name in gift management, it no longer opens that record. Instead, it just opens main page and I have to search for record by name. Also, *New* flag does not seem to be showing up."

In a follow-up on March 18 I noted “The new flag reappeared, but now it is missing again. Since this ticket is still open I would like an update. Having that flag is vital as it allows gift processors to identify records that need additional information such as adding constituent codes, name formats and addressees and salutations.”

The new flag is appearing for me again but the ticket is still open.
