Totally agree that it is not as quick as the previous method. I was mostly replying to your question about if anyone knew how to record that kind of group attendance. I did tell my attendance managers to select the names and use the “Select all” at the top once they were done building the student list.

@Stephanie Ames I agree with the layout of the attendance page not user friendly. It nees to be last name first and alphabetical by name and not by period block. Need to see patterns. Especially needed at a school that is both boarding and day student. Additionally, we have several students withthe same name(even the same graduating year) and their chinese name would be visible in “quote” next to their name and it is no longer listed with their name. Additionally we used to see their email address when we clicked their name and that is no longer listed.

100% agree!!! @Jacqueline Koca PLEASE, please, please give us the ability to sort by last name as the default instead of by period!!! I'm begging!

@Nicole Scott - yes - I agree- it's just building a list instead of just checking a box….I don't know why this was thought to be an improvement. Also, some of our students are from another country and have the same first and last name for the same graduation year. The only delineation is their “proper” name not their chosen name and that was removed from the list as was their email from their contact page…. makes for sooooo many extra steps.

Hello all!

I wanted to provide a small but hopefully impactful update, As of today, we have made three small changes based on the feedback both in this thread and in calls we have had so far.

The page now sorts alphabetically by last name then first.
On the Add attendance for groups modal, it defaults to the Specific students option.
When searching and adding specific students it will now automatically mark them to be included. When adding groups it remains leaving them unselected.

We are still gathering your additional feedback and continue to review for further updates and changes but hope that these initial changes help begin to make the workflows as comfortable as they were before.
